Bar Familiar

Bar Familiar is an all-day cafe and bar inside the Abbotsford Convent at 1 St Heliers Street, opened in September 2026 by Alessia Augello and Stephanie Lane in the former Cam's Kiosk site, with Alisha Grant as head chef. The Euro-leaning all-day menu runs Wednesday to Sunday from 8am to 3pm and covers Baker Bleu bread and bagels, crab toast, wagyu tartare, spaghetti napoli, vongole and mussels, housemade focaccia sandwiches and sourdough toasties. It takes walk-ins only, and as of October 2026 its liquor licence was still pending.
