Shanghai Red Chadstone

Shanghai Red Chadstone is the Chadstone Shopping Centre branch of the Shanghainese restaurant Shanghai Red, which also trades at The Glen in Glen Waverley. The menu is anchored on xiao long bao, which the restaurant traces to Nanxiang in Shanghai and serves in seven versions including Berkshire pork, crab and pork, black truffle, chilli crab, foie gras and a king-size consomme dumpling, alongside pan-fried pork buns, poached and pan-fried dumplings, wontons and Shanghainese cold entrees such as drunken chicken and smoked fish. Mains run to slow-cooked braised pork belly, braised pork meatballs, pork hock with soy and star anise and sweet and sour barramundi.
