Hareruya CBD

Hareruya is a Japanese cafe whose name translates as 'sunny shop'; its second site hides in Somerset Place, a laneway in the Melbourne CBD, after the original on Lincoln Square South in Carlton. It makes its own Japanese gelato, which can be served in a cup, wrapped in mochi skin as a daifuku, or sandwiched in rice wafer as a monaka. The rest of the counter runs to Japanese-leaning pastries and cakes, bento boxes, and matcha and hojicha lattes.
