HK Island Cafe

HK Island Cafe, formerly Peninsula HK Cafe, is a Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng on Russell Street at the edge of Melbourne's Chinatown. It says it was founded by a chef who previously managed several cha chaan teng in Australia and who specialises in Hong Kong roast meats, which are roasted on site daily. The menu runs to wonton noodle soup, baked rice, scrambled-egg rice dishes, stir-fried noodles, Hong Kong snacks and milk tea.
